MISSOURI Hawg Hawlers Bass Club of St. Louis www.usmo.com/~4beaches/hawghawlers/home.html The Hawg Hawlers Bass Club was formed in 1988 and is a NON-affiliated Bass club that is dedicated to providing friendly competition and the exchange of fishing information among our members. In 2000 we had 130+ members, including many husband/wife or parent/child teams. We fish most larger lakes in Missouri to include Lake of the Ozarks, Truman, Table Rock, Mark Twain, Wappapello, Pomme De Terre, Clearwater, Stockton and Bull Shoals. We have also had tournaments on Kentucky Lake (KY), Shelbyville (IL). Typically we fish Saturday afternoons (1pm to 7pm) and Sunday morning (6am to noon). That provides travel time prior to and after the tournament for those who would rather not take vacation. During the hot summer months, we fish 6am to noon on both Saturday and Sunday to avoid the hot afternoon sun, and focus more on the morning "bite". Many times we exchange pattern information prior to tournaments to help others catch fish. We have a points system to determine our Angler of the Year, and have an Awards Banquet at the end of each year where everyone attending gets a nice attendance prize. We are NOT a club for the dedicated/totally focused tournament angler. We are more of a family oriented / weekend get-a-way type club. It has been fun for the past 13 years watching our club grow and many new members come and enjoy our somewhat different format. New members are always welcome.
