Lake Guntersville in May
Dear Jim,
I am planning a fishing trip to lake guntersville on May 2,2003 and
thought I would check with you to see if you could give me some ideas on:
#1. Where are the best areas to fish. I heard it was in creeks like Mudd
Creek or salty creek or Sebold Creek (wherever that is). I dont know.
#2. Where are the best techiques. Spinner bait, buzz, jig ??????
thanks for any help you can give
Mike
Mike:
In May, go with a spinner bait and a worm (spinnerbait probably best). Work grass beds most anywhere. Excellent time to fish the place. Sebold Creek is also called Honeycomb and is the basin on the west side just north of Buck Island . There are two 'salty 'creeks - North and South Sauty. North is
best. Mudd creek is fine. It winds through stump fields and has a lot of
cover. The area north of and behind Goose Pond landing is a top spot in May,
as well. In the Spring, there is really no BAD place to fish in Lake Guntersville!!!

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
