David:
I assume you mean Don Hitchcock. He and I spend the summers in NC.
Most anywhere in Fla has lots of big bluegills and shellcrackers. But, the Farm 13/Stick Marsh impoundment, just south of Palm Bay, is World class.
Visit my web site and go to the Stick Marsh Information pages. You will find maps and everything you need. Use crickets and fish around the grass that grows on the levees of the submerged canals on the Farm 13 side of the impoundment. Use my interactive map and key to coordinates E-3 and 4 and F- 3 and 4. In-between those in a section of N/S canal that is full of them. There is also a basin that contains a water inflow gate at coordinates G-1. The walls on both sides back near the gate has lots of them. Crickets are best, but red worms and small green jigs will work, too.
Good luck.
Jim P.

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
