This superlative fishery, at the headwaters of the St. Johns River, is both a trophy and large numbers fishery. The Catch-and-Release rule for bass has proven remarkably effective.
Our logbooks show we average nearly 5000 bass per season (Nov - May). During the past five seasons, we have had over 800 trophies (8 - 15 lbs.).
The Stick Marsh has a fantastic crappie fishery, too! A 25-fish limit (taken in Jan & Feb, prior to the spawn) can be expected to weigh 35-50 lbs. See our past fishing reports for pictures. It's unreal!
