Little Tennessee River Fishing Reports
THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF A NORTH CAROLINA TOURIST
Well, here we are in western North Carolina for awhile. What a change from thew heat and humidity of Florida. Located on the side of one of the many Smokey Mountain peaks, and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, our daytime temperatures run around 75 degrees and the nights 55-60.
We find there is a lot of water within the many valleys and watershed areas of these mountains, with each having its own distinctive personality. There are some very similar traits among all of them though: deep water, cold water, very clear water, lots of rock, little grass, and many varieties of fish. They are challenging, to say the least. But, we have fished similar waters elsewhere and should adapt quickly. The key is going to be light tackle, very light line and small lures.
As we visit some of these lakes and rivers, we plan to pass on what we learn and experience. The big STRATOS came along with us to this land of the clouds and, although it is a little big (20+ feet) to tow comfortably on some of the narrow mountain roads, it sure is great once launched and on the open water.

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
