As most have noticed, we do not advertise products very much on our web site. We mention those that we know and have proven confidence in. Plus, we will occasionally use banners for a product or service that we think is valuable for our readers to know about.
In actuality, we DO NOT presently accept nor solicit ANY paid advertising.
Maybe that's bad business, but there also aren't going to be any shady deals or helicopter lures showing up on Jim's web site.
Having said this, we have an outfit that we recommend you take a look at and explore, IF you need insurance on your recreational boat (new rig or present policy coming up for renewal). We looked into BoatsUS Marine Insurance and found it to be very cost-effective, as well as providing broad coverage. While we are not guaranteeing their services, they sure look very good to us. And, our past experience has been that GOOD, DEPENDABLE boat insurance is often hard to find.
We put a link to them on the site, both as a temporary banner to the right of a page and at the bottom of the page in the 'Recommended Sites' block. They will give you a quote against your stated needs. Then, you decide if their service is advantageous to you.
