Keeping Gear Dry In the Bottom of Boat Storage Compartments
No matter what you do, whatever is down at the bottom in a boat storage compartment ALWAYS winds up damp! Condensation, a little wind-blown rain – some moisture always gets into those storage wells!
Well, the old Fishin’ Tipster has hung his last rain suit up to dry, you betcha!
Take a look at the KODAK moment below.
That white grid material you see is nothing more than one of Home Depot’s finest ‘Fisherman’s Helper’ items. It is a plastic light diffuser grid that fits a multi-bulb fluorescent light fixture. Cut it very carefully to fit your storage compartment and you have a great moisture standoff!!
(TIPS: Use a fine coping saw blade to cut the plastic grid. Cut the size you need to fit the bottom of the storage compartment and then cut that piece in half [see the photo] to make it easy to get into the compartment.)
And, to think that Tipster’s four ex-wives said he’d never amount to nuthin’!!
