OLD FISHIN' TIPSTER'S
TIPS AND TRICKS

Got a question about fishing, that you have never been able to figure out?

Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with the solution.

Old Tipster finally found a way to clean fish and keep clean hands, too! In fact, he found TWO ways! You’ll like both neat devices.

The Hypark Fish Grabber is the ultimate catch and release tool! It keeps your fish under control while you're removing the hook, protecting your hands from bites, stings and your hook. The Fish Grabber won't puncture or damage the fish like other types of grippers, and won't absorb the fish's protective slime. It is also a really neat device for holding a fish steady while filleting or cleaning it. It is cheap, small and cleans easily, plus you have the Old Fishin’ Tipster’s assurance that it REALLY does work!! You can purchase it on-line at Amazon, www.amazon.com, for about $3.97. You can find it a lot of other places, too. Just do a Google search by entering ‘fish grabber, Hypark’.

Premier Products Grip ‘N Fillet Wizard is another fine device for holding a fish very securely while cleaning it. BUT – it is NOT for a catch-and-release. The spikes penetrate the fish. You hands stay clean and well away from the fish. This product holds the fish more firmly than the Hypark Fish Grabber, but it is also a lot more expensive (around $10-$12). It has a handy vinyl pouch for easy storage and "Rust Proof" stainless steel tines. There are easy grip handles and it is spring-loaded in the gripping direction, so it holds the fish without any pressure required from you. You can see and purchase it on-line at ‘www.premierplasticsinc.com/bobbers/accessories/'. Plus, Cabelas (and possibly Bass Pro Shops) has it in their catalog and on-line.

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
