It is also a really neat device for holding a fish steady while filleting or cleaning it.  Premier Products Grip ‘N Fillet Wizard is another fine device for holding a fish very securely while cleaning it. BUT – it is NOT for a catch-and-release. The spikes penetrate the fish. You hands stay clean and well away from the fish. This product holds the fish more firmly than the Hypark Fish Grabber, but it is also a lot more expensive (around $10-$12). It has a handy vinyl pouch for easy storage and "Rust Proof" stainless steel tines. There are easy grip handles and it is spring-loaded in the gripping direction, so it holds the fish without any pressure required from you.
