OLD FISHIN' TIPSTER'S
TIPS AND TRICKS

Got a question about fishing, that you have never been able to figure out?

Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with the solution.

It sure gets tough trying to dig something out of the bottom of a storage well in that boat sometime, doesn't it. Tipster used to have knots on his head and bruises on his arms from them hatch lids falling just as he was about to find that special pack of Durango Kid Masked Worms.

Well, old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and National Backlash Pickin' Champion, has a tip that is easy to implement and will sure help.

Take a look at the photo. Old Tipster got smart. He went and bought a few of those new-fangled things called 'hatch springs'. Put them puppies on all the hatch covers, as well as that old big one back there where my 1992 Sears 'Lifetime Start 'em Everytime' batteries are kept. No more knots on this kid's head, you betcha'.

All it takes to install these springs is a drill and a medium Philips screwdriver. Be sure to measure everything before you drill any holes. And, be sure to drill the lower holes ONLY in the overlap lip of the storage well. One other recommendation is to buy the larger (diameter, not length) hatch spring you can find. It will hold better when the wind blows.
