OLD FISHIN' TIPSTER'S
TIPS AND TRICKS
Got a question about fishing, that you have never been able to figure out?
Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with the solution.
Those safety-pin style spinnerbaits don't fit most tackle box tray slots well, do they? That blade arm makes them too wide to lay flat and too tall to stand on their sides. I'm always shutting the lid down on an arm or a blade and bending something. If it is one of my Plano utility boxes, I can't get both latches to snap shut.
Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with an easy solution.
Look at the accompanying photo. How you do this depends on the style of your individual spinnerbait. Long arm and short arm lures will work differently. With some, you can place the blade eye behind the hook barb; other may use the swivel eye. Either way, it reduces the bait's profile and makes them fit right in most any tackle box slot.
