OLD FISHIN' TIPSTER'S
TIPS AND TRICKS
Got a question about fishing, that you have never been able to figure out?
Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with the solution.
Keith Mayberry had a great hook keeper tip a while back that used a plastic cable tie and a small split ring at the base of the rod. You'll find it in the Tipster archives. Then, last week, Tipster was down at Home Depot getting some genuine 'Neighbor's Tom Cat Repellent' for his chicken house when there was yet another good solution.
Look at the accompanying photo. This is nothing more than one of those cable ties Keith used, but it has a little different design. This one has a protruding loop built right onto the tie. Like Keith's rig, just position this style cable tie where you want it, and lock it in place with a drop of Super Glue. . Modern technology is really something, ain't it?!

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
