GET THAT SHORT-STRIKING FISH (and maybe a second one, too!)
I always keep a Texas rigged worm, or my Swimming Worm, right next to me and ready to go. When I am fishing other lures, such as crank plugs, topwaters or spinnerbaits, and I miss a strike, I quickly toss the worm right where the strike came from. Very often, that active fish that missed my moving lure will immediately jump on the slow worm. It is also something to use to get a second fish quickly. If you hook and land the first fish, immediately toss the worm where that first fish came from. You may get another in the bunch before they settle down.
