OLD FISHIN' TIPSTER'S
TIPS AND TRICKS

Got a question about fishing, that you have never been able to figure out?

Well, along comes old Fishin' Tipster, Weekend Semi-Pro and resident backlash picking champion, with the solution.

How to keep your rods from getting tangled in the rod storage lockers?

Even in the huge rod storage lockers of my big STRATOS, my rods still get tangled. The line one invariably gets around the guides of another, or worse. Remembering 'Necessity being the Mother of Invention', I called the old gal up on the cell phone one day and told Her my problem. After calling me a dumb-butt a few dozen times, She was finally kind enough to give me the answer. Go get a few of those cheap plastic tubes that fit in golf bags to keep the clubs separated and straight. They are about three feet long, made of lightweight black plastic, and open at both ends. The first thing to do is seal up one end. This can be done with a good glue and a brick (or such) to hold an inch or two of the end flat. You can even use a heavy stapler and staple the end closed. Then, all you do it slip the top half of the rod into a tube before placing it in the storage locker. Works every time like a champ.

A common question that we get: "Is there somewhere close to get bait and tackle?" This is where we get our bait.
